Session Title: Own Your Own Home – Protect Your Legacy: Inheritance Tax & Trusts Explained.
Own a Home? It’s Time to Think About Your Legacy.
Hacks to avoid paying tax and ‘give while living’
Think inheritance tax and trusts are only for the wealthy or elderly? Think again. If you own your home - or hope to - this Masterclass is for you. It could save you thousands of pounds.

Our Guest for this episode is Angela Racon – Director of Aria Legal Angela is a seasoned estate planner with almost 2 decades of experience advising clients on this complex area of planning. She is an associate member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP)and the Institute of Professional Will Writers. Angela started her career as a financial advisor working with major banks as part of their private client teams where she specialised in inheritance tax and trust planning. Often acknowledged as a top advisor not just in her own team but UK wide. It was during this time that she realised that the planning post death was not done well and that many problems regarding succession and tax were not fully addressed and just passed down to the next generation. Frustrated by the advice available, she decided to set up her own estate planning firm with her husband Chris, also an experienced adviser. Together, they offer bespoke planning to individuals and businesses, helping to guide them through this often-overlooked area of advice. Angela prides herself on taking time and really understanding her client’s needs as well as those of their loved ones. Estate planning is not just writing a will; it is imperative to understand the tax position as well as understanding the circumstances of those who will ultimately inherit. Angela works closely with other handpicked professionals such as financial planners, tax specialists and solicitors. This allows for a joined-up approach which means her clients have the best advise possible for them and their families. It is this attention to detail that has resulted in many clients and other professionals referring to her. Outside of work, Angela is mum to 4 children who keep her busy. An ex-skydiver, she now prefers to keep her feet on the ground!! She enjoys singing in her choir, loves to cook when she has time and is desperately trying to improve her French so she can keep up with her French speaking husband and kids!!
