Meet our guest
Catriona Smith has worked in the financial advice industry since 1994 and joined Chase de Vere as an Independent Financial Adviser in 2007.
She is accredited through the Society of Later Life Advisers (SOLLA), achieving her 10-year gold award, and has been a member of the SOLLA Advisory Board since July 2023. She has also passed the SMHFA Certificate, Scotland’s Mental Health First Aid course, and is a member of Dementia Friends Scotland.
In December 2023 Catriona was invited to join the editorial group of the Consumer Duty Alliance and the Financial Vulnerability Taskforce. The editorial group creates good practice guides for financial advisers covering the FCA’s key drivers of vulnerability
Catriona was named as the Financial Adviser of the Year for Scotland and Northern Ireland at the Women in Financial Advice Awards in 2019 and in 2020 and was Highly Commended in 2021, 2023 and 2024. She won the award for Woman of the Year – Vulnerable Client Care in 2024 at the Women in Financial Advice Awards and was Highly Commended in the Champion of Advice category at the Professional Adviser Awards 2025.
